I’ll play the crazy lady all day, every day because humans need to have interconnected experiences.
I look around at the people under 30 and mourn for them. I weap for the older ones who’ve forgotten.
I LIVED my life!! Every ounce of it. It was so good!!
I know history because I lived history, immersing myself fully into every experience and circumstance.
I didn’t read books and watch programs to learn about the world.
I walked it. I talked to people. I was a guest in their homes and they in mine. I shared my life with them!! All former strangers. That’s what’s missing in my America today. Life.
When I see things in the here and now that remind me of Nazi Germany and make me angry or concerned, it’s not some psychobabble-past-life-new-age-spiritual-healing-recovery bullshit. It’s because I was there!!
I spent time in camps understanding. I studied recovered military documents. I touched berths and bars that held my brethren’s bodies and souls. I sat in silence with old men bearing tattoos on their wrists. I broke bread and shared stories with men who murdered my family. They were my neighbors.
Do you get how incredibly significant that is?
What you don’t understand is that lack of understanding is the enemy. Not each other. Empathy CAN be taught.
I participated in proving it at CSA with young offenders in the early 2000s, and with people of all ages and walks of life independently since. It’s not difficult.
You just need to learn how easy it can be.
Once you do you will know, knowledge which cannot be taken away from you.
You will be able to radiate peace and effect change.
This is your call up, to exist as a lighter angel on earth.
